Return to School and Drop off/Pick up Items – June 12th (8th Grade) and 15th (P3-Grade 7)
We will collect items from all students/classes on the designated day and time noted below and must maintain face mask, social distancing, and limitations on the number of people in the school building at any one time. We encourage that only one person per family (preferably a parent) complete the exchange of items. We discourage anyone who is sick or immune compromised to refrain from participating in this event. Classroom visits will not be permitted. HFHN School staff will be present to guide you through the process. Please follow the instructions provided at all times. Your name and arrival/building entry time will be recorded.
Face Mask, Building Limitations, and Social Distancing Requirements—— Everyone entering the HFHN School building must wear a face mask during the entire time you are in the building. No more than (15) people will be in the gym area at any one time. A minimum of six feet must be observed at all times. Please line up on the North Street Main Entrance area and enter the building only when directed to do so by HFHN Staff.
Procedure for Entering and Leaving the Building—— Entry to the school building will be through the Main Entrance on North Street and then to the gym for the drop-off (return) and pick up (collection) of your child’s items. Once you conclude your business in the school you will exit the gym and proceed directly to the Summer Street doorway to exit the building.
Drop Off Items—- Please follow the schedule provided below for the day and time each class is assigned. If a family has more than one child attending HFHN, please return all items for all children in the family based upon the time assigned for the youngest child; you only need to drop-off/collect items during one assigned time. We kindly ask that you wipe down all items being dropped off at school before arriving at school, bagged with your child’s name on the outside of the plastic bag.
Please understand that if items are not returned (books and loaned Chrome book) the release of your child’s report card and/or end of school items may not occur.
Picking Up Items—— On March 13, 2020 your child may not have taken home several personal items that remained in their class-room desk. All remaining student items from your child’s desk or classroom (sweaters, sweatshirts, jackets, pencil box, etc…) were bagged up and labeled for pick-up. These items may be collected from the designated table. Included with your child’s items will be a summer activity booklet or reading packet. These items will be required summer activities that your child completes and is pre-pared to return to school in the fall. The reading packet will be assessed when he or she returns in the fall. Students who are not enrolled with HFHN School for the fall will not receive an activity booklet or reading packet. Again Pick up items were bagged and labeled with your child’s name, please make sure that you take only your child’s items.
